Troubleshoot Serpverse login issues including wrong OAuth provider, browser cache problems, ad blocker interference, and missing accounts.
Can't Sign In
Diagnosing Serpverse Login Issues
Locked out of your Serpverse account? Most login problems fall into a handful of common categories, each with a straightforward fix. Work through the sections below to identify and resolve your specific issue.
Serpverse uses Google OAuth, Microsoft OAuth, and Email Magic Links for authentication. There are no passwords to reset. Your login depends on your browser successfully completing an OAuth handshake with Google or Microsoft, or clicking a one-time magic link sent to your email. For more on how Serpverse protects your account, see the account security guide.
Wrong OAuth Provider
This is the most frequent login issue. If you sign in with a provider that uses a different email address than the one you registered with, you will either see an error or land on a new account setup screen. (If the email address matches, the provider is linked to your existing account automatically.)
Symptoms:
- You are prompted to select a role (Buyer/Publisher) even though you already have an account
- You see a "complete your profile" screen instead of your dashboard
- Your order history and balance are missing
Fix:
- Do not complete the new account setup. Close the tab or navigate away.
- Return to the Serpverse sign-in page(opens in new tab).
- Sign in using the same email address you originally registered with — any provider (Google, Microsoft, or Email Magic Link) will work as long as the email matches.
OAuth Error Messages
Sometimes the OAuth flow itself fails, producing an error page or redirect loop.
"Error 403: access_denied" (Google)
This means your Google account has restricted third-party app access.
Fix:
- Go to Google Account Security Settings(opens in new tab).
- Under "Third-party apps with account access," verify that Serpverse is not blocked.
- If your account is managed by an organization (Google Workspace), your admin may need to allowlist Serpverse. Contact your IT department.
"AADSTS Error" (Microsoft)
Microsoft Entra ID errors typically start with "AADSTS" followed by a code.
Fix:
- Go to Microsoft Account App Permissions(opens in new tab).
- Check if Serpverse appears in your authorized apps. Remove it and try signing in again to re-authorize.
- For work or school accounts, your organization's Azure AD admin may need to grant consent for the Serpverse application.
Redirect Loop or Blank Page
If clicking "Sign in" sends you in circles or loads a blank page:
Fix:
- Clear your browser cookies for
serpverse.iospecifically (see next section). - Disable browser extensions temporarily.
- Try an incognito/private browsing window.
Browser Cache and Cookie Issues
Stale cookies or cached authentication tokens can prevent successful login.

- Click the lock icon (or tune icon) in the address bar on any Serpverse page.
- Click "Cookies and site data."
- Remove all entries for
serpverse.io. - Close and reopen the browser.
- Try signing in again.

- Click "Clear cookies and site data" under the Serpverse entry.
- Restart Firefox and try again.

serpverse.ioentries. - Restart Edge and try again.

Ad Blockers and Browser Extensions
Ad blockers, privacy extensions, and script blockers can interfere with the OAuth redirect flow between Serpverse and Google/Microsoft.
Known problematic extensions:
- uBlock Origin (when set to block third-party scripts aggressively)
- Privacy Badger
- NoScript
- Ghostery (strict mode)
- Cookie auto-delete extensions
Fix:
- Temporarily disable your ad blocker or privacy extension.
- Attempt to sign in.
- If successful, add
serpverse.io,accounts.google.com, andlogin.microsoftonline.comto your extension's allowlist. - Re-enable the extension.
You do not need to permanently disable your ad blocker. Allowlisting these three domains is sufficient.
Missing or Deleted Account
If none of the above fixes work, your account may not exist or may have been removed.
Possible causes:
- You never completed the initial registration (you started OAuth but did not select a role)
- Your account was suspended or banned due to a policy violation
- You are using a different email address than the one you registered with
Steps to investigate:
- Try signing in with every email address you might have used (personal Gmail, work email, Microsoft account).
- Check your email for any Serpverse correspondence to confirm which address is on file.
- If you believe your account was suspended, check your email for a notification from Serpverse explaining the reason.
Network and Firewall Issues
Corporate networks, VPNs, and strict firewalls can block the OAuth redirect URLs.
Fix:
- Disconnect from your VPN temporarily and try signing in.
- If on a corporate network, try signing in from your phone using mobile data.
- If corporate firewall is the issue, ask your IT team to allowlist
serpverse.io,accounts.google.com, andlogin.microsoftonline.com.
Still Cannot Sign In?
If you have worked through every section above and still cannot access your account:
- Open an incognito/private browsing window with all extensions disabled.
- Navigate to
serpverse.ioand attempt to sign in. - If this works, the issue is a browser extension or cached data. Clear your main browser's full cache and cookies.
- If this does not work, contact Serpverse support with the following details:
- The email address you are trying to sign in with
- Which sign-in method you are using (Google, Microsoft, or Email Magic Link)
- Any error messages you see (exact text or screenshots)
- Your browser name and version
- Whether you are on a corporate network or VPN
