Check the country attached to the listing as well as the topic. A travel site based in one market often writes for readers in that market, which shapes the currency, the airports, and the assumptions in every article.

Seasonality moves both demand and turnaround

Travel publishing follows booking cycles rather than travel dates. Interest in summer destinations builds through the preceding winter, and publishers are busiest in the months before a season, not during it.

That affects turnaround. A placement ordered during a publisher’s peak takes longer to go live than the same order in a quiet month, and the listing’s stated turnaround is an average across the year rather than a promise for next week.
